Welcome to Big Dog Racing, a USLMRA Local Chapter based in Rapid City, South Dakota, with a home track in Chadron, Nebraska.
“Our chapter started in 2000 and within a couple of years we had a bunch of AP mowers running,” said Big Dog Racing President Casey Eaton. “By 2006 we had moved on to more SP machines and in 2007 we had a strong showing of BP mowers. Then we started having monthly races at our permanent track and about 30 mowers would come out for each event. “
Big Dog Racing runs on a home track in Chadron, Nebraska but plans to travel to racing venues in other locations in Nebraska and South Dakota.
“The Chadron track is a road course that has many options, “ said Casey. “My dad, Roger, has proudly set up a different track for every race. We currently leave the Starting Line in an Inside / Outside form and run two races counter clockwise and one clockwise. The east end of the track is 1/6th mile banked oval. We have a water tank that we use to make a good racing surface and to keep the dust down. My dad, Roger and I, couldn’t have made all of this happen with out the support of our racers and area. Let’s mow!”
